Soccer Referees & Tournament Staffing

Soccer events bring together different age groups, formats, match lengths and referee roles. GO Sports Officials helps referees present the experience that matters and gives organizers a structured way to explain the matches and positions they need covered.

FOR OFFICIALS

Put your soccer refereeing experience in context

Describe the formats, age groups, levels and roles you have worked. Explain your experience as a referee or assistant referee, and identify indoor or futsal experience separately when relevant. Keep credential details and association affiliations current so organizers can discuss their competition’s requirements with you.

Browse posted opportunities and check the format, match schedule, venue, role and compensation. Think through travel between sites and the time between matches before applying. Availability records help you organize your windows, while individual offers let you decide which commitments to accept.

FOR EVENT OWNERS

Staff the referee roles required by your competition

Do not assume that one referee team structure fits every format. State the system your competition uses and build the posting around actual roles and simultaneous match coverage.

  • Match format: Identify outdoor, indoor or futsal, age group, competition level, rules and any local modifications.
  • Referee roles: Specify the referee and assistant positions required, plus a fourth official or other support where your competition calls for it.
  • Venue and timing: Provide field or court locations, arrival times, match lengths, breaks and any travel between venues.
  • Eligibility and pay: Explain required registrations or credentials, how you will check them, the rate and when payment will be made.

From an open position to a confirmed assignment

GO Sports Officials gives both sides a shared process. An application starts a conversation; it is not a booking.

01 / Explain the work

Organizers publish the sport, position, schedule, pay and requirements. Officials build their profiles and apply for suitable opportunities.

02 / Review and agree

Discuss experience, eligibility and event details. The organizer makes an offer, and the official decides whether to accept.

03 / Confirm and follow through

The organizer confirms an accepted offer. Both sides can track the assignment; payment is arranged directly between them.

ASSIGNERS & ASSOCIATIONS

Keep your association part of the process

A local referee association or assigner can be part of your recruitment plan. Use a crew request to describe a position and coverage window, discuss candidates with the association owner and review consenting officials. An invitation to apply is a step toward an assignment, not a confirmed match commitment.

Soccer officiating: common questions

Does a soccer profile establish eligibility for every competition?

No. Requirements differ by organizer and competition. Confirm the relevant registration, credentials and experience before making or accepting an offer.

Can I list futsal alongside outdoor soccer?

Yes. Explain the formats you work and your relevant experience. Read each opportunity carefully; the event’s format and role should be explicit.

Can officials apply for work outside their usual area?

Yes, when an opportunity and its requirements fit. Discuss travel time, expenses and any local eligibility requirements before accepting.
