RUGBY • GO SPORTS OFFICIALS
A rugby fixture and a weekend tournament place different demands on an officiating crew. GO Sports Officials helps referees explain their experience and helps clubs and event organizers set out the format, roles and schedule they need to cover.

FOR OFFICIALS
Tell organizers about the rugby formats, competition levels and officiating roles you have experience with. If you work sevens or fifteens, explain that background along with your usual service area, credential details and referee society or association affiliations. Make your profile specific enough to support a useful conversation about the fixture.
Keep availability current and allow for the full commitment: travel, briefing, warm-up and the match or session. Review the requested role and ask about event variations, crew communication and expectations before applying. An availability entry helps planning; you still make your own decision when an offer arrives.

FOR EVENT OWNERS
A clear rugby staffing request names the format and responsibilities, not just a kickoff time. For tournaments, explain how concurrent matches, field changes and rest periods affect the people you are recruiting.
Have an organization already? Post an opportunity or explore the officials directory.
GO Sports Officials gives both sides a shared process. An application starts a conversation; it is not a booking.
Organizers publish the sport, position, schedule, pay and requirements. Officials build their profiles and apply for suitable opportunities.
Discuss experience, eligibility and event details. The organizer makes an offer, and the official decides whether to accept.
The organizer confirms an accepted offer. Both sides can track the assignment; payment is arranged directly between them.
ASSIGNERS & ASSOCIATIONS
Referee societies and assigning associations can remain central to rugby staffing. Organizers can request a crew for a published opportunity and position, and associations can propose accepted members with relevant experience. A proposal is followed by individual profile-sharing consent and the normal application, offer and confirmation process.
Yes. An assigning organization can maintain an association profile and manage accepted members. Event owners can contact the association about crew requests while officials retain their own choices about sharing profiles and accepting offers.
Yes. Explain your background in each format, including the roles and competition levels you know. Confirm the specific event’s requirements rather than assuming one type of experience covers every fixture.
No. Membership and event participation are separate decisions. Officials choose whether to share their profile for an association crew request and later decide whether to accept an offer; the organizer then confirms the assignment.
